In order to maintain our strong focus on high quality resident care, Picton Manor has a series of committees that help ensure that the views of residents, family and staff are heard and acted upon.
Professional Advisory Board:
Comprised of the facility’s management team, Public Health representatives, a pharmacy consultant, the facility Medical Director and nursing supervisors, the Board meets to discuss all issues involving the medical and care services for our residents.
Family Communication Board:
Through our Family Communication Board we attempt to keep family members updated on a range of issues including Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care compliance reviews, recreation programming, special events and other points of interest.

Residents’ Council:
The Residents’ Council’s members are residents elected by their peers. The Council deals with general issues and in many cases, make suggestions for improvements. The Residents’ Council also serves as the Welcoming Committee for new residents at Picton Manor.
GentleCare Committee:
Our GentleCare Committee consists of staff members who strive to provide a home-like atmosphere through an innovative approach to care that allows residents to maintain their individual habits and routines and incorporates personal preferences in their daily care.
